Bite Beauty Mini Matte Creme Lip Crayons individually retail for $12 USD ($15 CAD) and are available in three shades (0.031 oz). It is said to be "limited-edition matte crème lip crayons in head-turning hues and packaged in bright red ornaments for the holiday season."

"BITE’s latest breakthrough formula boasts a collection of beautiful nudes, striking reds, and deep burgundies with a matte yet moist texture. The secret is the moisture-locking power of orange peel wax along with the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. The colors are water-resistent, and long wearing."

The Matte Crème Lip Crayons retail for $24 USD ($28 CAD) and contain 0.05 oz. of product. Each miniature lip crayon contains $15 USD ($17 CAD) worth of product for over half the amount of a regular sized tube, so with that said, you are getting a decent deal.

If you're new to the brand here are some facts: Bite is exclusive to Sephora and their products are free of synthetics, polybutenes and petroleum byproducts. All lip products are made with nurturing food-grade ingredients that are healthy enough to eat! The founder believes, "You eat what you put on your lips, so your lipstick should be good for you."

The packaging is a simple, matte black pen-style tube with a silicone texture. They have a slight citrus, herb scent that can be noticed on initial application. The packaging mimics the regular packaging in the sense that these pencils are retractable and everything under the cap is color coded depending on the shade. A main feature of the regular Matte Crème Lip Crayons is the very bottom section can be popped out to reveal a sharpener, however these deluxe sizes don't have one.

Gavi is a medium, muted peach nude with warm undertones and a satin finish. This shade applied smoothly, evenly, fully opaque and had great pigmentation. It was lightly creamy on the lips and lasted +5.5 hours before fading. (5/5)

Glacè is a medium, muted mauve rose with warm undertones and a satin finish. This shade applied smoothly, evenly, fully opaque and had great pigmentation. It was lightly creamy and lasted +5.5 hours before fading.(5/5)

Maraschino is a medium, vivid red with warm undertones and a satin finish. This shade applied smoothly, evenly, full opaque and had great pigmentation. This shade was slightly creamier than the rest and wore well for +5.5 hours before leaving behind a stain. (5/5)

Overall, these lipsticks are great. The formula is long-lasting, pigmented, opaque, forgiving on drier lips and tends to be lightly hydrating over time. The Matte Crème Lip Crayons are one of my favorite lipsticks and the permanent line carries 12 shades in total — if you missed the chance to pick up these minis, the regular versions are definitely worth checking out!
