Update | Cruelty Free Makeup Brands

You can now filter and search the Cruelty Free Tag on this blog to find all posts relating to cruelty free products! I've also gone ahead and listed on the Brands Page whether brands (including their parent companies, if they happen to have one) are cruelty free and/or vegan. The same goes for my YouTube channel—there is now a featured Cruelty Free Playlist listing all of the videos and reviews with CF products.

From now on blog posts and videos will also include disclaimers in the opening paragraph stating if a product is cruelty free or contains carmine (CI 75470) as it is a common allergy and skin irritant for many makeup users, including myself.

For those of you wondering, although I do use some products and brands which may not be certified cruelty free, I strongly believe that it is important to highlight those that are. I hope these new features and additions can be helpful for those of you who are interested, or those who stand by a cruelty free lifestyle! 🙂

Welcome to another installment of Chatty Caturday! I know another has been long awaited and much overdue! I wasn't able to post a Friday video yesterday due to family from out of town visiting, but hopefully this makes up for it - from my heart to yours! There are a only a few topics this round...

1) Which location do you like best for filming? I've always been irritated and insecure about my current filming location because my lighting has never shown things true-to-color and as a reviewer where product shades matter, it drives me batty! I've tried several different bulbs, the best have been daylight bulbs - it's just a struggle so I've decided to switch my filming location! Chatty Caturday | Introduction, 1k Ideas & Best Friend!

Hey everyone! There's been a few topics on my mind that I've been meaning to ask, but I couldn't figure out the best way since I haven't stepped deep into the social media ocean yet. (Links below, feel free to follow along, let's be friends!)

So with that said, I have invented Chatty Caturday, which if you haven't already guessed, will be videos posted every-so-often on Saturdays basically just talking to you guys, asking questions and letting you know what's on my mind. If there are any questions, I'll answer them too!

This Chatty Caturday I thought I'd ask *way* far in advance what I should do once I hit 1,000 subscribers! I'm still a few hundred friends away but I want to be prepared and make it special! Any ideas are welcome, what would you guys want to see to celebrate?

* I'd also like to apologize for this past week and a half of lacks videos. I caught some ridiculous summer cold that refused to go away. After many needed nap days and NyQuils I'm starting to feel back in the game! Expect videos and blog posts to return to normal this next coming week.

Second thought, my best friend Victoria (cities-to-dust - follow her!) and I are itching to do more videos. We're just unsure what! Please send us your ideas, whether it's tags, hair, makeup, beauty, fashion, etc. related - we have a lot of fun!

While I'm at it, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for sailing along with me! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and get involved with my videos and reviews -- it means the world! And don't ever feel weird, I notice every one of you! Especially the ones who comment frequently. I like to imagine we have a little friendship growing and your opinions matter!
