Bite Beauty Maple Agave Lip Mask (0.52 oz.) retails for $30 CAD and is exclusive to Canada. Although this product released with the Maple Collection, it appears to be permanent. It is said to be "an innovative, leave-on lip mask to hydrate and restore moisture to dry, parched lips."

If you're new to the brand here are some facts: Bite is exclusive to Sephora and their products are free of petrochemicals. They are also organic and all-natural. All lip products are made with nurturing food-grade ingredients that are healthy enough to eat! The founder believes, "You eat what you put on your lips, so your lipstick should be good for you."

The packaging is a soft plastic tube and the cap features a little pointed tip to puncture the tube on first use. It's simplified and easy to apply using your finger, lip brush, cotton bud, etc. This lip mask is also infused with real Canadian maple syrup, so it has a natural, sweet maple scent. It can be noticed and tasted throughout wear, but it's never overwhelming or sickeningly sweet.

Maple is a light-medium, copper brown with warm undertones and a glossy, shimmer finish. The texture is thicker and tackier than your standard lip balm, without being sticky or troublesome. The product is comfortable, applies easily and almost melts into your lips once the product has warmed up. It does have a sheer, hint of color and the shimmer and glossy finish was noticeable. Maple wore well for +8 hours and was highly moisturizing, even after the product had worn off. (5/5)

Like the other Agave Lip Mask shades—Original, Champagne and Smashed—Maple is extremely hydrating to help repair and improve the overall health of your lips. As I've stated many times before, I suffer from severely dry, chapped lips and the Agave Lip Masks are one of the few products I've found that help.

This product is a great overnight treatment to apply before bed and wake up with nourished, soft, healthy lips and still have the product remain noticeable come morning. As well as being a perfect all-day treatment with the variety of shades and finishes that have that little extra oomph to wear throughout the day.

In comparison to the other shades, I still find the original Agave Lip Mask to be longer-lasting and supply more moisture to my lips. Don't get me wrong, all three additional shades supply hydration and feel comfortable on the lips, they just tend to have a slightly thinner consistency.

Overall, Maple really improved the dryness and overall quality of my lips. After all, they are called a mask for a reason. They are extremely long-lasting and are a product I truly live by when it comes to nourishing and restoring damaged lips. The maple scent was a nice addition to the already phenomenal lineup of shades and I highly recommend checking them out!
