MAC released their newest collaboration with Dita Von Teese exclusively online on December 9, 2015. The lipstick comes housed in special edition, glossy black packaging with "Von Teese" written across the tube, as well as embossed on the lipstick itself. It features the brands signature vanilla scent, but has no noticeable taste.

Von Teese is a medium-dark, brightened red with hints of orange, warm undertones and a matte finish. This shade applied very smoothly, evenly and had rich, opaque pigmentation. Like most of the brands newer matte formulas, it had a velvety texture that glided onto lips easily without tugging or dragging. It was a very comfortable shade to wear and never felt drying. Von Teese lasted +6.5 hours and left behind a stain. (5/5)
* Bite Beauty Holly (LE) was similar, cooler. Kat Von D Gold Blooded (LE) was more orange, shimmery. Marc Jacobs Dashing was darker, cooler, more red. Yves Saint Laurent Le Rouge was glossier, less opaque.
Overall, it's a nice lipstick! Despite the fact that it's a much brighter shade than expected from the promotional images, it still carries that "sexy red" vibe, but with a twist. Personally, I can't wait to pair this lipstick over different lip liners to alter the color! Whether you're a fan of warm red lipsticks or of Dita Von Teese herself, than it's definitely worth checking out while you can!
