TOO FACED Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo

This product has been out for quite some time now (a few years even) and for some reason it hasn't caught my eye until now. I was strolling through Sephora when from the bottom of the Too Faced display, the delicate champagne duo-chrome packaging just lit up with angles singing. Needless to say, it went in my shopping bag almost immediately after swatching!

Too Faced Candlelight Glow (0.35 oz) retails for $30 USD ($38 CAD) and is said to be "a highlighting powder duo powder by "Photolite" technology."

Candlelight Glow is described as a sheer gold / gilded rose.
"Inspired by Too Faced’s original Candlelight powder, this formula offers a more ethereal glow by using “Photolite” technology which diffuses harsh light, giving your skin a soft, youthful luminosity. The powder formula is easy to apply to cheeks, brow bones, and décolleté for a quick all-over glow. The sheer golden powder warms skintone, while the gilded-rose formula brightens and illuminates."
The packaging is absolutely stunning — what caught my eye most! The compact features a mirror and a standard snap closure. The pan of product is etched with the same chandelier design as the front of the compact. Really, I could talk about this compact for hours, it's beautiful.

The texture is soft, smooth, finely-milled and could be blended easily on the skin. The compact has two different shades that can be used individually or mixed together. The lighter, golden shade is far more frosty and metallic than the pink shade, which is more of a shimmer.

This product is a highlighter and it does leave a very frosty, luminescent glow on the skin. This may not be for everyone as it does slightly enlarge the look of pores and imperfections of the skin. Personally, I don't have this issue (besides dry patches occasionally) and highlights are one of my favorite products.

Keeping in mind, depending on what method you use to apply will depend on the outcome. I would recommend using a very fluffy brush, like a fan brush, to apply lightly and gradually build as desired.
