For those that may not know, Nudestix is a Canadian brand that was created by two sisters, who are models and their mother, who has over 20 years of experience in the beauty world. The entire line is geared towards making minimal, no-makeup makeup easy while enhancing your natural features. All of their products are multipurpose, easy-to-use and are enriched with vitamins, antioxidants and moisturizers.

The packaging is a double-ended wooden crayon style pencil that does require sharpening and has no noticeable scent or taste. Each Nudestix product comes housed in a sleek, black metal tin that features a mirror and includes a sharpener that can also conveniently double as a cap for the pencil (if you take the original cap off, of course) which is incredibly handy for use on the go. Besides being suitable for both lips and cheeks, the brand purposely selected best selling shades that can be used alone or paired together to create an effortless ombre lip.

Mystic is a light-medium, rose beige with warm undertones and a creamy, luminous finish. It had great, mostly opaque pigmentation that applied very easily and evenly without tugging or dragging at lips. The creamy consistency made it extremely comfortable, lightly hydrating and never emphasized lip lines or imperfections during wear. Mystic wore well for +5 hours before fading. (5/5)

* Bite Beauty Pepper (DC) was warmer, more pink. Marc Jacobs Infamous was cooler, more pink. Nudestix Purity was darker, more brown.

Whisper is a light, muted nude beige with warm undertones and a creamy, luminous finish. This shade applied smoothly, evenly and had nice color payoff. Due to the lighter nature, I found the color did fall into lip lines on a closer inspection during wear, but never caused it to look uneven or streaky. Again, it had a light, creamy consistency that made it comfortable to wear. Whisper lasted +5 hours before fading and was lightly hydrating. (5/5)

* Bite Beauty Retsina was similar, slightly warmer. Kat Von D Noble was lighter, more pink. OFRA Sao Paulo was lighter, more beige, matte. Stila Caramello was muted, more grey toned, matte.

Overall, these are really great lip pencils. The formula is extremely comfortable, lightly moisturizing and pigmented. Compared to the individual Lip + Cheek Pencils, by going the dual-ended route, you're not only getting the same amount of product, but you're also getting to try two shades for the price of one.

Even the tin Nudestix products come housed in is super convenient to throw in your bag. It has a mirror and it's large enough to store more than one pencil, or even extras, like bobby pins and hair ties!
