MAC Nasty Gal Collection

MAC released their newest collection Nasty Gal on December 4, 2014 online and in select stores. The collection featured three lipsticks and a nail lacquer. At this time [11/12/14] two of the three shades are available on the U.S. website, and all three are still available on the Canadian website.

Gunner is described as a deep purple. [Matte]

Runner is described as a burgundy. [Matte]

Stunner is described as a clean red. [Matte]

- Gunner is a dark, blue based purple with cool undertones and a satin finish. The formula was lightly creamy but a tad drying when worn for an extended period of time. This shade applied smoothly, mostly opaque and had good pigmentation. It did require some layering for a more even coverage. It wore well for +6 hours and left behind a stain. (5/5)

- Runner is a dark burgundy with warm undertones and a satin finish. This shade applied smoothly, semi-opaque, pigmented but lightly tugged at the lips when applying which made it look uneven. It wore well for +6.5 hours and was lightly drying. (4/5)

- Stunner is a medium, brightened red with warm undertones and a satin matte finish. The formula was lightly creamy but a tad drying when worn for an extended period of time. This shade applied smoothly, mostly even, fully opaque and pigmented. It wore well for +6 hours and left behind a stain. (5/5)

Overall, two of the three shades are pretty common and are easy to dupe. During this past year MAC alone has released at least a handful of shades that are similar to these ones. Gunner was the most unique but I can see it being difficult to wear at times.
