MAC released their newest collection The Matte Lip on October 2, 2014 online and October 9, 2014 in-stores. The collection featured 17-pieces, ranging from lipsticks, to lip liners, to blushes.

When this collection was first released online the blushes were listed as "coming soon," meaning they were unavailable when I placed the order. Since the collection has since released in-stores, I figured I would still review the blushes for you all... just a bit late!

"The Matte Lip is here to stay. Create a standout look with the fashion-forward new shades of our iconic matte lipstick. Vibrant hues like fuchsia Velvet Violet and La Vie En Rouge are a bold contrast to the rich burgundy of Fashion Revival and nude of Styled in Sepia. For the best in colour intensity, Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in super-saturated shades to make a modern statement. Go for the cool rouge of Trust in Red or boost it up with new Bespoken For, a dark, creamy plum. For a polished finish, accent with the soft, pinky hues of Pro Longwear Blush – long-lasting colour that’s purely fabulous."

* These blushes are listed as limited edition, however they are permanently sold in pan-only from the PRO line.

Fleeting Romance is described as a coral. [Satin]

I'm a Lover is described as a pink. [Satin]

Make You Mine is described as a dirty salmon. [Satin]

These blushes are absolutely beautiful and all 3 shades were consistent in performance, wear time and quality. The texture of the blushes was soft, ultra-smooth and silky. The product was pigmented, buildable, blended nicely and left a very subtle sheen on the skin. They wore well for +8 or more hours before fading slightly around the edges.

- Fleeting Romance is a medium, muted coral with a soft sheen, warm undertones and a satin finish. It lasted +8.5 hours before fading. (5/5)

- I'm a Lover is a light-medium pink with cool undertones and a satin finish. It lasted +8 hours before fading. (5/5)

- Make You Mine is a medium salmon with a soft sheen, warm undertones and a satin finish. It lasted +8.5 hours before fading. (5/5)

Overall, these blushes do run a little expensive in pot form, but the quality and performance of them are beautiful! They sit nicely on the skin and blend out easily. Keep in mind, these blushes are listed as limited edition, however they are available permanently in pan-only form from the PRO line – which will also save you some cash! ($7 to be exact...)
